Toasted Ham and Brie on a Baguette with Fig Jam

Toasted Ham and Brie on a Baguette with Fig Jam

My son was home sick last week with the flu. I wanted to make him something for lunch to help him feel better. He absolutely loves bread, ham, brie cheese, and fig jam separately so I decided to combine them together to make a sandwich. He LOVED it! Not only did he say it was the best sandwich ever, but he also said it made him feel better–how great is that?!? I couldn’t resist and snuck a bite of his sandwich– it was amazing!!! The combination of crispy bread with salty ham and creamy brie cheese topped with sweet fig jam is fantastic. I have a feeling this sandwich will be my son’s new favorite for a long time!

  1. Hi, firstly I hope your son is feeling better? SecondlyFig Jam – I love figs, fresh (my mums neighbour sometimes gives her some for me from their garden – yum) and dried. Seriously dried figs are my go to snack (check my website – I don’t do healthy/skinny/lowfat!!!) but I just love dried figs. BUT I’ve NEVER had fig jam! Perfect with your ham & Brie, or biscuits and cheese – or with a spoon??? I’m getting me some fig jam, thank you for enlightening me. Sammie http://www.feastingisfun.com
