Asparagus with Garlic and Lime

Asparagus with Garlic and Lime

I recently made this asparagus with garlic and lime to pair with some spicy roasted chicken.  I can’t believe I’d never tried this flavor combination before! This tasty asparagus paired nicely with our roasted chicken and Southwestern salad.

How to Make Asparagus with Garlic and Lime

Heat the olive oil and butter together in a large skillet.

Add the asparagus then cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes, depending on how thick the asparagus is (longer if they are thick).

Remove the lid, add the lime juice, and minced garlic, and season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Serve with additional lime. Enjoy.

  1. I have an orange chicken recipe while even it’s delicious, the two time I’ve made it the photos are horrible. The chicken is just an odd color. I love your recipe for this asparagus. I’ve always used lemon, why have I never thought to use lime. Thanks for this idea.

  2. It’s said we eat with our eyes first, and when something doesn’t look appetizing it ruins it for sure. This asparagus looks so delicious!

  3. I like to think I don’t judge a meal by it’s looks…but let’s face it, sometimes I do. Bummer about the chicken but yay for this asparagus!
