Spiced Cranberry Sauce

Spiced Cranberry Sauce

I made an early Thanksgiving meal today. My daughter helped me in the kitchen with a few of the recipes and it was so much fun cooking with her! She prepared this cranberry sauce we found at MyRecipes all by herself. It was easy to make, smelled fantastic while it simmered, and tasted wonderful. The spices added a nice flavor to this sauce and really made it taste extra special.

  1. Hi Pam,
I love cranberry sauce and yours is packed with perfumed spices and the colour so vibrant!
Cheers and hope you have a fantastic week,
    Lia.

  2. I rarely stray from my family’s favorite cranberry sauce….but I would love to make this for myself. And just eat it on some grilled cheese. 🙂

  3. Have to go shopping today for our REAL Thanksgiving. We did our practice one back in September when our daughter, her husband and baby were here. I like the idea of using this for our sauce.

  4. I made this last night. OMG SOOOOOOOOO GOOOD!!!!!!!! A bit sweet, I’ll use a little less sugar next time (maybe take it down by 1/8 cup), and believe me, there WILL be a next time! I thought I had ground ginger, but it turns out I didn’t, so I added 1/8 tsp. of ground cardamom instead. Really Tasty, I’d eat this on anything! Why does Thanksgiving get to have all the good food??? LOL! Keep up the great work!

  5. My friends loved it too! Even the one that ‘doesn’t like cranberry sauce’. I’m so going to make more! T/G or not!

  6. Woohoo! My friends requested it again this year! NICE! 😀 I’ll make it with a bit less sugar and use cardamom again, since that is what they liked. Awesome recipe, Pam! THANK YOU!!!!!!
