I had some frozen potstickers in my freezer to use up so I paired them with some Chinese soup and Soy Sesame Edamame for dinner. I didn’t have any dipping sauce in my refrigerator so I decided to make up a batch. This took less than 5 minutes to make and tasted fantastic… I will never buy store bought sauce again! My whole family thought it was delicious.
Combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, brown sugar, green onion, minced garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and sriracha sauce together in a small bowl; whisk until well combined. Cover and set aside for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to mingle. Serve as a dipping sauce for potstickers, egg rolls, or wontons. Enjoy.
Ohhh, that looks delicious! I’m definitely going to try it. Thanks!
A dipping sauce? YUM!!! You know that is my favorite thing in the world!!!
Very similar to the dipping sauce for your turkey asian meatballs – which I made for the second time last night and really enjoy – yummy! I think next time I will add a little of the hot sauce that you used in this recipe for a little zing. I made the mango asian cole slaw last night too.
It’s also not a bad thing that these recipes were fairly low in calories. I’ve been eating a lot of Christmas cookies…
Frozen potstickers make a great quick meal, don’t they? I love the dipping sauce!
Yum! I make an even simpler one (soy sauce, white wine vinegar, fresh garlic, fresh ginger and green onions)
Ever made potstickers at home? They’re so easy, and awesome to have in your freezer (plus you can change up the fillings)
I love that you made your own dipping sauce – it looks so flavorful!
I love potstickers just for this sauce!
Making your own sauce is brilliant!
Yum!
And…now you’ve got me craving potstickers! Might have to make a late night run to the Chinese takeout place!
pam you want to hear something funny?
there is this insanely good sushi joint a couple towns over from us.
hubby loves their scallion pancakes, I do too, but they have this dipping sauce that goes with it that is so tasty, so unlike any sauce I’ve ever had.
I always order extra of that sauce for my meal.
and once, I liked it so much that I drank it. yes. lol
I love the Trader Joes potstickers and usually just dip them in soy sauce, this looks so much better!
This dipping sauce sounds delicious. I will have to try it with egg rolls soon.
I have to try that ginger paste. I use the same brand’s basil during the winter, awesome stuff, almost as good as fresh.
I just made this tonight as a sauce over soba noodles with sauteed broccoli and red pepper. It was so delicious that I think I want to make it again tomorrow. Thanks!
Yupp!! That’s some great sauce. .we have a simular one on our island of guam. Almost identical. 🙂
I think this is one of the best dipping sauces I have ever had and I have made it often. For some reason or other after making it a few minutes ago I re- read the directions which say brown sugar but the ingredient list just says sugar. Which is it? I have always made it with just plain granulated sugar but am I missing something now?
