Hoisin Sauce

Hoisin Sauce

I was making an Asian-themed dinner and realized the marinade for the chicken required hoisin sauce and of course, I didn’t have any. Thankfully, the site I found the marinade recipe on, Up Close & Tasty, also had a hoisin sauce recipe which I happened to have all of the ingredients for! It’s not a traditional hoisin sauce but it’s delicious just the same. This sauce can be used in marinades, sauces, vinaigrettes, and dips. Store the extra sauce in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

How to Make Hoisin Sauce

Combine the soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and sriracha together in a bowl. Whisk until well combined. Set aside for 10-15 minutes before using to allow the flavors to combine.

Store remaining sauce in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

  1. I am sure it is better than the store bought since it is fresh a pure.
It would be perfect to dip or a marinade.

Have a beautiful Easter season. Blessings, Catherine xo
