Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

I was recently sent some hot drink powders to try out by Stephen’s Gourmet. As you can imagine, my kids were super excited!!!

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

I decided to try making hot chocolate a little more special by adding peanut butter and a touch of vanilla. No hot chocolate is complete without whipped cream and sprinkles! These peanut butter hot chocolates were decadent and delicious. My kids loved them! Thank you Stephen’s Gourmet. We can’t wait to try the other flavors you sent.

How to Make Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

Pour the milk into a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the chocolate powder, peanut butter, and vanilla. Whisk until well combined and cook until hot. Be careful not to let it boil or the milk could curdle.

Pour into mugs & top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

Side Note: Some peanut butter has tiny grains of peanuts in them, if yours does, make sure to pour the finished hot chocolate through a fine sieve to remove all the peanut butter grains before pouring into the serving mugs.

    1. You can find a list of stores that offer Stephen’s Gourmet in your state by clicking on your state on the locator map on Stephen’s Gourmet website: http://www.indulgentfoods.com/store-locator. You can even buy Stephen’s Gourmet hot cocoa on their Facebook page. Pam linked to it on this post. Just click the “Online Store” tab and Stephen’s Gourmet can be delivered right to your door!

  3. Please, please tell me where I can buy mugs like yours! I love those. They remind me of my longtime favorite mug which was shattered last fall. And I know that this hot chocolate will taste so much better in them! If you can, would you please share where you got your mugs? Thanks, Pam!

    1. Nancy,

I bought the set at my local Costco for less than $20.00. I think there were 6 different colors in the set.

    2. Costco! Who knew! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely make a trip there this week or next. Thanks!

  4. And I thought the chai-spiced hot chocolate I just found was pretty cool! All these flavor options sound awesome but I choose your peanut butter one over all others.

    1. Stephen’s has a PB cup flavor too that has actual PB cups in it! It is delicious! I think you can purchase it on their FB store.

  5. Nancy, I love how you put sprinkles on your whip cream hot chocolate. Looks beautiful! Creative dessert. If you ever feel too lazy to make your delicious PB hot chocolate though, Stephen’s has a PB cup flavor. It is sooo good. PS I love their Pumpkin Spice one too, but I am kind of obsessed with anything Pumpkiny. ha.
