Cherry, Banana, and Mixed Berry Smoothie

Cherry, Banana, and Mixed Berry Smoothie

My son spent the day at Cub Scout camp while my daughter and I went hiking around the Portland Audubon Society today.  We were all hot and tired by the end of the day so I decided to make them a fruit-filled and healthy smoothie for their late afternoon snack.  My daughter’s friend came over to spend the night so I ended up splitting the smoothie between the three of them.  It turned out really delicious and refreshing and they all loved it!  Side note: I used Rainier cherries because we love them but regular cherries would be delicious as well.

How to Make a Cherry, Banana, and Mixed Berry Smoothie

Place the cherries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, ice, honey, and yogurt into a large container.  Blend the mixture using an immersion blender until creamy and smooth.  Serve with a strawberry garnish and a straw.  Enjoy! If you don’t have an immersion blender a regular blender or food processor would work great too.

Cheers!!!

  1. I rarely see cherries in smoothies which is just so sad when they are so delicious and juicy! This looks super refreshing after a day in the heat.

  2. Ok, I’m loving your daughters hat. She is styling. My kids love smoothies as an afternoon snack. I was actually thinking of creating one with cherries the other day as they are so good right now. I think I will just copy yours and serve it up.
