Italian Salad with Fresh Basil Vinaigrette

Italian Salad with Fresh Basil Vinaigrette

This Italian salad with fresh basil vinaigrette was so delicious and we all enjoyed all of the flavors & textures.  I loved the spicy pepperocinis with the tangy olives and the crunchy croutons.  This salad tasted amazing drizzled with the fresh basil vinaigrette.  It was a huge hit with all of us… my kids gobbled up every last bite of salad from their plates.  I love that!

  2. That sounds wonderful. Norm had a tomato basil coucous salad yesterday that was really good.

  3. looks delicious! I think I could eat pepperoncinis on just about every salad and wrap. Love those things! Sometimes I eat them plain right out of the jar 🙂

  4. I just returned from Italy and so wishing they had this type of salad while there! No one there eats salads. I looked at every place we ate’s menu looking/ hoping for a good “american” like salad and found that they just don’t do salads like we do. The typical salad there (in rome) were lettuce, parm & chicken or lettuce and parm. Also learned that pizza margherita there is really just a plain tomato sauce over the pizza dough topped with cheese and maybe 2 basil leaves in the middle. Tasty… but different than what I was expecting. ;0)

  5. Just tried the basil dressing and hmmmm hmmm hmmm unbelievably good. I’m going to be making this stuff daily this summer! Thanks so much for the recipe. This one is a real keeper!
