I am Back

We just got home from a two week adventure in our motor home. We met up with my sister and her family at Wallawa Lake, Oregon for a few days of bike riding, hiking, and fishing. We next headed to Yellowstone in Wyoming. We had so much fun exploring the beautiful area, seeing the mud pots, geysers, hot springs, waterfalls, and wildlife. It was truly awe inspiring! We left Yellowstone and headed to Craters of the Moon for a day of hiking around the old lava tubes, and caves. Our journey ended in Boise, Idaho where we celebrated a couple of birthdays and the Fourth of July with our family and friends. It was a fantastic trip… one we will always remember. I’ll be back to posting recipes tomorrow. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

  12. Welcome back Pam! You were missed! What a fantastic trip! We are wanting to go to Wyoming and see all of this beautiful country side. We had thought we might go this summer, but it isn't going to be happening. I love the photo of the "Bronco fan" on the swing. Probably in Boise. My son in law is a dyed in the wool Bronco fan! Boise born and raised. Loved these pics!

  13. I don't ever really comment on blogs, but I just wanted to let you know that I think your blog is fantastic…I make lots of recipes, or use them as inspiration for recipes of my own. And it sounds funny to say, but I MISSED you while you were gone! Keep up the great work.

  14. That was quite the trip! The buffalo in the middle of the road made me laugh – a lot – because I've seen those guys in real life, and know just how huge they are!

  15. How come everyone got a hiking stick except your hubby? Ya'll holding out on him? 😉

When you passed that buffalo, did you tell him that he is much leaner than beef? You know, not to scare him but for his ego 😉

  16. Glad you're back. Those are some awesome place and beautiful pictures…are you sure your are not a undercover National Geographic photographer??

  17. Ahhh, Pam… I am already missing you! It was so very good to be able to see you and to spend some time together. Our time together is always too short but I cherish every minute! Loved the images from Yellowstone – esp. the family pic at Lewis Falls.

  18. Amazingly stunning photo's, Pam. Sounds (and looks) like such a fantastic time. How fun to load up the motorhome and travel around. Your children will have such amazing memories when they get older.

  19. These pics are awesome Pam! I went cross country over 15 yrs ago and went to Yellowstone. Camped out overnight and it was amazing.

We went to Vegas after and all I wanted to do was go back to the nature part of the trip. Places like this make me realize how gorgeous this country is.

  20. Welcome back, Pam! You sure got some incredible photos. I love the one of the bison holding up traffic. I don't even know what I would do if that happened to me!

  21. Great pictures! Have really been on the east coast most of my life. It is nice to see the rest of America!
